When did you join Fitaholic?
What were your goals when joining Fitaholic?
I wanted to slim down but was concerned I’d lose muscle! My husband and I committed to doing just strength training classes so attending 3 times a week was an attainable goal. For the first few weeks, we also left class after 30 minutes–I didn’t want to overdo it and feel defeated!
What was your exercise routine like before joining?
I hadn’t had consistent, regular exercise since before the pandemic.
What body transformation results have you achieved?
I lost 10 pounds on the scale, but my before/after InBody scans showed that I lost 19 pounds of body fat, gained over 4 pounds of muscle, and lost 10% body fat!
What non-scale victory(ies) have you been most excited about throughout this journey?
Buying new clothes, gaining muscle, and ability to do more push ups!
What are you most proud of about your transformation / fitness journey?
Seeing muscle tone in my arms, traps, and abs!
What’s your ‘why’? What gets you to the gym most days?
I feel so much better mentally and physically when I consistently work out.
What keeps you as a member at Fitaholic?
Maintaining fitness and muscle as I age. Women who lift are sexy!
What makes Fitaholic different than other gyms?
I love the music and format and that you decide how hard you workout. You can go easy, you can go hard-it’s what you make of it so you can be successful, not defeated, with every workout!
What advice would you give someone who is thinking about joining the club, but hasn’t quite joined yet?
Life milestones will arrive whether you workout or not. You can meet them in a backslide or head on, with improved physical and mental health.
